I’m Ismael Crespo, but my friends call me IZMA, IZ, or YZ. Or 奕喵. Born and raised in a lively 90s neighborhood in Lima, Peru, my childhood was a canvas of art. I dove into the world of graffiti and muralism under the name ‘Portah,’ as part of a large crew of artists called OVC. From 2005 to 2015, I made my mark by creating massive murals for various events.

I later delved into Web Development and User Experience, earning a technical degree from SISE in 2014. I transitioned from street walls to design software. As an Art Director, I’ve crafted bold ideas for national brands like BCP, San Fernando, and Cemento APU at CircusGrey (Peru).

Graduating from four advertising schools, including Leo Design and La Calle Creativa, fueled my desire to explore international markets. After moving to Colombia, I teamed up with global giants like Bayer and AB InBev at MullenLowe SSP3, developing worldwide campaigns for Spotify at Media.Monks.

My journey continued at DAVID The Agency in Bogotá, where I collaborated on campaigns for Corona and Budweiser, earning accolades such as Agency of the Year. In 2024, I embarked on new adventures as a Creative Director at DDB Group Hong Kong, leading projects for McDonald's and Mars Group across six countries in the APAC and Southeast Asia.

My career is the recipient of numerous prestigious awards, highlighted by the first Titanium Lion awarded to China for Corona Extra Lime. My accolades include 13 Cannes Lions, 11 Clio Awards, 16 Effies, 4 D&AD Awards, and 7 LIA Awards, among others. I was recognized as one of the top 10 Art Directors by the One Show Festival in 2023.

Currently, I am working as an Associate Creative Director at GUT Asia.
